Creative expression has always been a part of who I am. After high school, I studied a Bachelor of Music at the Conservatorium of Music, Melbourne University. While I loved music, the endless hours of practice alone in a room felt isolating.
It wasn’t until 2020, when the world was thrust into isolation, that I learned to embrace solitude. As someone who thrives on people and social connection, I needed an outlet to keep my mind busy and my creativity alive. I picked up an old notebook and pencil and began teaching myself to draw. I haven’t put the pencil down since.
Experimenting with different mediums helped me discover what I loved most. One Christmas, my aunty asked me to draw her dog. Word spread quickly, and soon I was creating portraits of pets for friends, and friends of friends.
After receiving a complex endometriosis diagnosis, I shifted to a slower, more “endo‑friendly” lifestyle. That challenge became a turning point: instead of focusing on limitations, I chose to invest in my creativity and build a business.
Drawing is where I lose myself completely. Despite never having a long attention span, I can spend hours absorbed in the details. What began as a personal passion has grown into something more, a way to create timeless treasures that celebrate the spirit and personality of beloved pets and animals.
